The Toyota Rav4 perfectly combines style with versatility. This year, the Rav4 added a few new features to the model to make it even more breathtaking than ever before.
To help you understand just how impressive the Rav4 truly is, we have decided to compare it to another popular vehicle in its class. Here is a look at how the Toyota Rav4 compares to the Subaru forester.
What's New This Year?
Both the Rav4 and the Forester have a few exciting new upgrades for the 2021 model year. While the changes may be modest, they are sure to be welcomed by fans of both of these vehicles.
Toyota Rav4
When you pick the Rav4, you can have the exterior match your individual style thanks to the many exterior paint colour options that you are given. The exterior can come in one solid colour, or you can choose to have a two-wone exterior. Some of the colour options include Blue Flame with an Ice Edge roof, Blueprint with a Black roof, or a solid Magnetic Grey Metallic. This year, the Rav4 introduces a new exterior colour called Super White.
There is also a new plug-in hybrid version added to the lineup this year, which is called the Rav4 Prime.
Subaru Forester
The Forester gets a few new features added to its exterior as well. This year, the Forester comes standard with automatic headlights and LED adaptive headlamps. There is also a new storage tray located in the centre console.
Interior Comfort Comparison
The Toyota Rav4 offers seating for up to five people while providing plenty of legroom for both the front and backseat passengers. There are also a lot of high-end features available in the Rav4's cabin including an available leather-wrapped shift knob and steering wheel, available faux leather seats, and standard heated front seats. The Rav4 also comes standard with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment display, but an 8-inch touchscreen is available. Both displays come standard with a wide range of premium apps and features including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The Subaru Forester also has a spacious interior that provides about the same amount of legroom and headspace. However, the design is more simplistic and features bland materials. Like the Rav4, the Forester also offers an available 8-inch touchscreen infotainment display. However, the standard display is only 6.5 inches, which is smaller than the Rav4's standard infotainment display.
Power and Performance
The Rav4 comes standard with a powerful 2.5-litre 4-cylinder engine that is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and is able to deliver up to 203 horsepower.
The Forester's standard engine is a 2.5-litre 4-cylinder engine that is paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) that is only able to deliver 182 horsepower.
